HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?
Our minds work on two levels; the conscious and the sub-conscious. We make decisions, think, and act with our conscious mind. The subconscious mind controls our habits. In a relaxed state of trance known as hypnosis, we can influence the subconscious mind and eliminate unwanted habits.
IS HYPNOSIS SAFE?
I use hypnosis and NLP (neuro linguistic programming), and both of these systems have been proven to be completely safe. NLP is a very powerful behaviour modification technique used in a wide range of fields. You will be aware and in control at all times. You cannot get stuck in trance. A hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything against your will. Hypnotherapy is considered to be one of the safest, fastest and most effective forms of treatment for the majority of psychological afflictions. Celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, and Ellen DeGeneres have all used hypnotherapy to successfully quit smoking.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE HYPNOTISED?
Most people go into trance every day of their lives - while watching TV or while driving for example. It is a normal and natural state. The difference in the clinic is that trance is induced intentionally, and guided for transformation. It is complete mental absorption combined with highly focused attention. The personal experience will vary from one individual to the next, however it is always pleasant and deeply relaxing.
